Blog 3 - The Role of Technology in my Profession and Life 

 

  Technology is all that element created by the human being, therefore, from the wheel to a mobile phone are technological elements and are important for the development of society, globalization and creation of advances to improve the quality of life. 

However, today technology has a mainly commercial focus, where consumption is encouraged and secondly for research, advances in medicine, architecture, engineering, ecology, etc. Added to this there is also a great dependence on technological devices that is promoted by social networks, now there is a virtual world that is not in balance with the physical world. More and more people forget how to socialize with others. 

                                     

Personally, I believe that technology is not bad, on the contrary, it is necessary, however it is the cultural and social approach that must change and thus cancel the dependence we have on it. 

In architecture, technology is extremely important, especially now that the climate crisis is finally being taken seriously. It is we, the future architects, who must be aware and participate in the change that has begun to design more ecological and sustainable spaces, creating technologies that allow us a complete development of architecture, which should be completely sustainable. These technologies make it possible to find new materials, reuse others, create better thermal adaptations without the need for electrical appliances. As is for example, one of my favorite architectural technologies, which consists of a roofed space in the shape of a cloud, which is filled with air through a motor that is powered by solar panels.
