BLOG 4 - My dream job      Since I was little I thought about being a veterinarian with distinction in equine sciences, since I love horses. Then at fourteen, I wanted to dedicate myself completely to the sport of equestrian jumping and try to reach the Olympic games, because I was already competing internationally. But they didn't let me drop out of school, but that didn't stop my love for horses. A few months later I entered a course of rehabilitation and therapy with horses. Since then I started with my trainer and colleagues to rehabilitate abused horses, especially in the rodeo and then with them we work with children with disabilities, supporting them with “hippotherapy” and I thought I would dedicate myself to that.                             But the following year, I traveled to Arequipa, Peru and I fell in love with architecture, in that city I knew what I wanted to dedicate my life to. I have always thought that "cities are the settings where life happens"

Blog 3 - The Role of Technology in my Profession and Life      Technology is all that element created by the human being, therefore, from the wheel to a mobile phone are technological elements and are important for the development of society, globalization and creation of advances to improve the quality of life.  However, today technology has a mainly commercial focus, where consumption is encouraged and secondly for research, advances in medicine, architecture, engineering, ecology, etc. Added to this there is also a great dependence on technological devices that is promoted by social networks, now there is a virtual world that is not in balance with the physical world. More and more people forget how to socialize with others.                                        Personally, I believe that technology is not bad, on the contrary, it is necessary, however it is the cultural and social approach that must change and thus cancel the dependence we have on it.  In architecture,

My vacations in Arequipa

My vacations in Arequipa One of my most significant vacations was my trip to Arequipa in 2015. This city is located in Peru. It is known as the “White City'', because it has an architecture of adobe houses, painted white, with narrow streets with cobblestones .  It was in this city that I realized that, I wanted to study architecture, I fell in love with history, culture, architectural elements, and with how the city was configured, so considering that I am a person who travels constantly, this is one of the my favorite places, because this city took me to study architecture and it has been a great success in my life.  I went to a “La laneria”, which is where llama and alpaca wool is produced, stored, prepared and used to create different fabrics with different techniques, mainly the use of the “andean loom”. Also in the same place they raise and care for llamas and alpacas, they have an open space where they live freely.  I also went to the "Cañon del Condor"

GEORGIA - SAVANNAH

GEORGIA - SAVANNAH Reasons for visiting      The first time I heard about Savannah - Georgia, it was because my best friend, Ava, went to live there. We were investigating its location, and its distance from Chile, which is 7,595 km in a linear way. We also investigated the climate of the area. The summers are very hot, the winters are short and cold, and it is wet and partly cloudy all year. As Savannah is on the Georgia coast, it has a very varied flora and fauna: birds, turtles, fish, alligator, and other species that live in the marine forests and beaches. Plants ranging from dried sea oats to waxy motherwort, broad red cedars, and live oaks that also habit these lands.       Since she left, we constantly talk, and she tells me about her adventures; from stories with squirrels, stories about her university - which she gave me a tour of and I was fascinated with the architecture of the place - to stories about how the city works because she knows that I love urbanism.
